Amy Smart is a former American actress and model. Amy Smart, born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film that she played her first part in, was her debut role. She struggled to get a small role on Starship Troopers. Amy was unable to make the leap from modeling into acting since models are not usually considered to be actors of any kind. They're often given small and unimportant parts. Amy did not give up. Her first major part came from The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on more prominent role. Amy was finally recognized for the role she'd been seeking for over a decade. She did some big films in the Crank trilogy opposite Jason Statham. And she had a part in a series of recurring roles in The Shameless series.
