Amy Smart is a former American actress and model. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modelling career there. She began her acting career in the year 1996 with the TV movie Her Costly Affair. Following a long and difficult battle to get a part, she was offered a role as "Starship Troopers" her role in Starship Troopers. It was a hard time for her to transition from modelling to acting as the models were never thought of as actors and tended to be assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. Amy persevered. She worked her way up to bigger roles. She began with The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. Amy was then promoted to lead roles in the romantic comedy Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy achieved the fame she'd been seeking for nearly 10 years when her film just Friends debuted. Then she went on to work in several of the most famous movies, including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she portrayed a character who remained in the spotlight for a long time.
