Reese Witherspoon feetLaura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon was born on the 22nd of March, 1976. Her numerous accolades include an Academy Award, British Academy Film Award and Primetime Emmy Award. She also received two Golden Globe Awards. Time magazine and Forbes both named her among the 100 most influential individuals around the world in the years of 2015 and 2006 respectively. In 2021, Forbes named her the highest-paid actress in the world, with an estimated amount of $400 million.Witherspoon began her acting career at the age of a teenager, making her film debut in The Man in the Moon (1991). In 1999, she was an actress who played a supporting role in Cruel Intentions as well as in the role of Tracy Flick in Election. Her parts in Legally Blonde (2001 and its sequel 2003) as well as in Sweet Home Alabama (2002 ) brought her greater recognition. Her work was critically acclaimed, and she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as June Carter Cash, in the musical biopic Walk the Line. Following a dip in career, during which her only box-office success was Water for Elephants (2011). Witherspoon returned to the screen with the production and role in Wild (2014). She was awarded another Academy Awards nomination for Best Actress. Witherspoon is still working mostly in the field of television, and has appeared in and produced a number of female-led literary adaptions under Hello Sunshine. This includes Big Little Lies (2017-2018), The Morning Show (2019-20) and Little Fires Everywhere (2020) All HBO drama series. She won the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Limited Series for the first one. She also produced the film adaptations of Gone Girl (2014) as along with Where the Crawdads Sing (1922). Witherspoon also owns Draper James clothing company and is involved in advocacy groups for women and children. She is a member of the Children's Defense Fund's Board and was honoured to be the chair of Avon Foundation's foundation's charitable cause for women in 2007.
