
Elizabeth Chase Olsen (born February 16th, 1989) is an American actress from the United States. Olsen was born in Sherman Oaks, California. She started acting at just four years old. After appearing in Martha Marcy May Marlene's film, the actress was well-received and nominated for the Critics Choice Movie Award. The film was immediately followed by Silent House. Olsen received a BAFTA Rising Star Award nomination and was awarded a degree from New York University two years later. Olsen was recognized worldwide for her performance as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe media franchise as she appeared in the films of superheroes Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), as well as the miniseries WandaVision (2021). She was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award as well as winning a Golden Globe Award for her performance in WandaVision. She was executive producer on and starred as Sorry for Your Loss (2018-19), getting a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination.
